As one of the UK’s leading integrators of CCTV, access control, intruder detection and fire alarm systems Niscayah will be replacing its fleet with new, low emission vehicles, significantly reducing the company’s carbon footprint. The fleet of 335 vehicles includes work vans, estate cars and executive cars that between them cover some 8.2 million miles each year.
Having already replaced one quarter of the existing vehicles reducing carbon dioxide emissions by a huge 59 tonnes per year, a further 124 vehicles will be replaced throughout 2010 more than doubling the figure.
David Ensum, Niscayah's Fleet Services Manager said "About 90% of new vehicles will be acquired from the Vauxhall ECOflex range which boasts the lowest fuel consumption figures in the Vauxhall line up and carbon dioxide emissions, on average, 12% less than the cars they replace. The new models also use more recycled materials and recyclable parts than ever before."
