Lord Mayor's Show 2006

11 November 2006 saw the annual City of London Lord Mayor’s Show, whose origins date back to 1215. This year was the eighth consecutive occasion that security systems specialist Bell Security, now a Securitas Systems group company, has sponsored the City of London Police’s float. This is used to promote the City Police’s drug awareness work in schools via the D.A.R.E. charity (Drug Abuse Resistance Education).

Contributing to the sights - and sounds - of the parade, along with City Police officers and children from various D.A.R.E. UK projects, was the 1947 Bedford Duple charabanc coach owned and driven by Bell’s retired co-founder, Ken Howard.
